Last thursday, Engine 28, Ladder 28, Pipeline 28, and crews represented the Union Fire Association in the annual Bala Cynwyd Independence Day Parade. Every year members of the community and their families get to participate in the parade along with the Belmont Hills Fire Company (Station 22), Narberth Ambulance (313), and the Lower Merion Police Department. After the parade, the Union Fire Association and the Bala Cynwyd Neighborhood Club host events at the Bala Cynwyd Park which include carnival rides, games, petting zoo, pony rides, foot races, egg toss, and ceremony. Later that evening, Engine 28 and crew stood by at the Narberth Fire Work Show with other LMFD crews in order to assist Station 26 with the event.
