STATION 28 RESPONDS TO MULTIPLE ALARM WAREHOUSE FIRE

This morning Station 28 was requested to respond as a FAST company Firefighter Assist and Search Team to a multiple alarm fire in the Borough of Conshohocken. Utility 28 responded to the scene and was assigned as the FAST for the A-D corner of the building the front right. Crews from multiple companies were battling fire in the roof area of a large industrial warehouse. Because of hazardous chemicals in the structure crews needed to be decontaminated by the Montgomery County Hazardous Materials Response Team when exiting the fire building. There was a roof collapse during the course of the fire which caused the FAST on the other side of the building to be activated. Station 28s crew was redeployed to support that team but luckily no one was trapped or injured in the collapse.
