UFA’s Annual Day of Giving is December 19th!
The past year has been a time of transformative change at the Union Fire Association. Our organization has been revitalized by increased community participation and leadership. New policies, enacted hand-in-hand with our volunteer members, have raised engagement and call response quality to record levels. Setting our gaze firmly on the future, we are deeply engaged in the process of renovating our aging station building.
Our goal is to employ a tried and true methodology for improving response quality in the modern volunteer environment: building desirable live-in accommodations. We also seek to modernize our apparatus bay to enable the acquisition of appropriately-sized apparatus with the features and functionality necessary to combat the fires that occur in our district. Our other goals include developing a rapid medical response capability to answer the wants and needs of our community. We have recently completed the acquisition of a new vehicle that is being outfitted as a command vehicle to meet emerging operational demands and enhance command-level response to incidents.
