Congratulations Steve Byrne, Firefighter 1!

Congratulations to Firefighter Steve Byrne who graduated from the Montgomery County Fire Academy this evening earning his National Pro-Board Firefighter 1 certification. Firefighter Byrne spent countless evenings and weekends completing this rigorous 162 hour long course learning everything from building construction methods to interior firefighting tactics. brbrFirefighter Byrne also graduated at the top of his class and was presented an award at graduation for earning the highest average score during the testing process for his interior certification. brbrHaving already fought several large fires this year Union holds its Firefighters to an extremely high standard – not only requiring members to complete the County Fire Academy but to also drill weekly on different firefighting and rescue tactics. Steve quickly became one of Unions most dedicated members in a matter of a only a few months and for this we are extremely proud to have him serving in the rank of Firefighter 1. brbrCongratulations Firefighter Steve Byrne
