Make-A-Wish

Today, in partnership with the Make-A-Wish foundation, the Union Fire Association of Lower Merion hosted a once in a lifetime parade for one very amazing and deserving neighbor. With the help of the Penn Wynne/Overbrook Hills Fire Company, the Bryn Mawr Fire Company, the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, the Lower Merion Fire Department Office, the Lower Merion Police Department and Narberth Ambulance, crews showcased the wide variety of emergency vehicles that service Lower Merion Township. In addition to the various emergency service personnel, members from the 501st Carrida Garrison (Pennsylvania Chapter) marched in the precession – making this a truly memorable event. Led by Darth Vadar, the precession included Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, R2D2, Ewoks, Mandalorians, and enough Storm Troopers to keep everyone in line!

On behalf of the Union Fire Association, we want to thank everyone for their participation and hard work in making this event possible. We especially want to thank our neighbors for allowing us to be part of their day. We are grateful and humbled to have had a small part in making this wish come true.
