RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE: 1ST DUE (Merion Road)
Yesterday at approximately 12:00 hours, Station 28 was dispatched to the 400 block of Merion Rd. to a dwelling fire. Engine 28 responded with a crew of 5 and arrived to find a split-level home with heavy smoke. Station 28 personnel led off with a 1¾-inch attack line after forcing entry to the front door and encountered heavy fire in the first level of the home. Thanks to the quick initial attack and mutual aid from Stations 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26, the fire was placed under control approximately 10 mins after arrival.
